Ukraine eyes Patriot or SAMP/T NG missile defences funded by EU loan

Ukraine intends to use the next tranche of an EU loan worth €90 billion to purchase air-defence systems, Euronews reported citing a European Commission official. Kyiv is considering acquiring either US Patriot systems or the European SAMP/T NG. The purchase would bolster Ukraine's air defences against ongoing Russian missile attacks.
