Poles collect 100,000 tonnes of wild mushrooms a year worth an estimated 700 million złoty

According to Polish State Forests data, Poles collect up to 100,000 tonnes of wild mushrooms annually, valued at an estimated 700 million złoty. The total value of Poland's wild forest economy is estimated to be many times higher. Polish mushrooms are also gaining international recognition, with Poland ranking among the world's leading exporters of cultivated mushrooms.
