Turkey considers scrapping S-400 missiles to unlock F-35 purchase

Turkey is considering destroying its Russian-made S-400 air defence systems if talks with the UAE over selling them fall through, according to Semafor. Disposing of the S-400 batteries is seen as a key condition for Turkey to re-enter the US F-35 fighter jet programme, from which it was excluded after buying the Russian systems.
