Environmentalists: glass miniature bottles litter forests and rivers — add them to deposit scheme
The EKO Unia association warns that small glass alcohol bottles, known as "małpki", have become a widespread litter problem in Polish forests, rivers and hiking trails. The organisation is calling for single-use glass containers to be urgently included in Poland's deposit return scheme, which currently covers mainly plastic and cans. Vice-president Paweł Pomian said the move is essential to complete the ongoing packaging reform.
