Retired Poles who keep working face earnings limits or loss of pension
A growing number of Polish retirees are choosing to continue working, but strict earnings thresholds apply. Exceeding the higher limit results in suspension of the pension payment, while exceeding the lower one triggers a proportional reduction. The thresholds are set quarterly by ZUS based on average wages.
