Economist: unified tax levy would fix Poland's small-business tax absurdities
Economist Dr Michał Zator argues in an opinion piece for money.pl that Poland's tax system for small businesses has fuelled an explosion of pseudo-entrepreneurship, with the self-employed paying less tax than salaried workers on similar incomes. He calls for taxing the self-employed on similar terms to employees and introducing a so-called unified levy. He argues that tax support should be targeted at genuine entrepreneurs who create jobs.
