Chicken bones don't belong in food waste bins — the mistake can cost you money

Chicken and other animal bones should not go into bio-waste bins, even though many people instinctively put them there. Incorrect sorting can lead to higher waste collection fees. Bones should instead be placed in the general mixed waste container.
