Polish Culture Ministry slams Warsaw Rising ambassador choice

Poland's Ministry of Culture and National Heritage has issued a statement condemning the Warsaw Rising association's choice of Monika Laskowska as an ambassador of the commemorative event. The ministry says the personnel decisions "blatantly violate the dignity and universally accepted standards" of honouring the Warsaw Rising's heroes. The selection has sparked a public scandal.
