Storms and heavy rain lash Poland — flooding in Lower Silesia, tornado risk north of Warsaw
A band of heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong gusts swept across Poland on Friday evening. Streets in many Lower Silesian towns were flooded and turned into fast-flowing streams, and the Bystrek stream burst its banks in Raszów. Poland's meteorological service IMGW warned that a supercell thunderstorm had formed north of Warsaw, raising the risk of a tornado.
