Hospital demands 134,000 PLN from doctors over out-of-turn surgery for senator's son

A hospital in Aleksandrów Kujawski is suing doctors to recover 134,000 PLN — the fine imposed by the National Health Fund (NFZ) for performing a procedure out of turn. The surgery was carried out on the son of Tomasz Lenz, then a senator of the Civic Coalition. The doctors who performed the operation are now expected to cover the penalty imposed on the facility.
