NHTSA investigates GM 6.2-litre V-8s still failing after recall fix
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into General Motors' L87 6.2-litre V-8 engine after hundreds of units reportedly failed despite a previously issued remedy. GM had already issued a fix, but the ongoing failures suggest the repair did not fully resolve the problem. The probe will determine the extent of the defect and whether a further recall is needed.
