Windows 11 can delete your gaming laptop's GPU driver when left in Eco mode

Windows 11 can automatically remove a discrete GPU driver from a gaming laptop if the system runs in Eco mode for an extended period — the GPU is effectively cut off, flagged as unused, and deleted during OS clean-up routines. The issue was reported by a Reddit user with an Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 equipped with an Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti. The problem can be prevented by adjusting system settings.
