Cyclist Maeve Plouffe nearly hit by car during Tour of Britain Women opening stage

Australian cyclist Maeve Plouffe said she was nearly struck by a non-race car during the opening stage of the Tour of Britain Women on Wednesday while chasing the peloton after a puncture. The incident comes days after 19-year-old British rider Finlay Tarling was killed in a collision with a vehicle that entered the course at the Volta a Portugal.
