Victoria pledges free walk-in dental care in Australian first

Victoria's Labor government has pledged AU$230 million for 10 public dental clinics offering free walk-in checkups and treatment — an Australian first. Premier Ben Carroll announced the plan as Labor's first major election commitment ahead of the November state election. The clinics would operate without appointments.
