German sappers help Poland build East Shield defensive barrier on Russian border

Poland is constructing a defence system along its northern and eastern borders to protect against Russia, with German sappers from NATO assisting in the project since June. The initiative, known as the East Shield, is one of the largest fortification projects in Poland's recent history.
