Webb telescope finds hidden stars — earliest galaxies may be four times more massive than thought
Observations with the James Webb Space Telescope have revealed far more faint stars hidden within the earliest galaxies than previously assumed. In some cases, the actual mass of these early galaxies may have been underestimated by as much as four times. The finding could require a significant revision of current models of galaxy formation.
