Dozens of Ukrainian soldiers desert German training grounds — hundreds suspected nationwide

According to investigations by the weekly "Die Zeit", 80 Ukrainian soldiers deserted from training grounds in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt alone. Across Germany, hundreds of similar cases may have occurred. The Federal Ministry of Defence acknowledged awareness of "individual instances" of Ukrainians fleeing military training sites.
