Uber fined €825 million for algorithmically firing drivers
The Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) has fined Uber €825 million — the second-largest GDPR penalty ever — for using an algorithm to automatically block drivers' accounts without proper protection of their personal data. Uber announced it will appeal the decision.
