FTC targets personalized pricing — critics warn it could end up raising costs
The Federal Trade Commission is proposing limits on personalized pricing — the practice of using a customer's data to set the highest price they might accept. FTC Chair Andrew Ferguson warned that new industries are increasingly tracking consumers to set individualized prices.
