Director quit her ABC executive job and spent her savings to make a Gaza healthcare documentary
Emmy award-winning documentary filmmaker and journalist Poh Si Teng quit her ABC executive role and drained her savings to make "American Doctor", a documentary about healthcare workers in Gaza. The catalyst was the death of her colleague Samer Abu Daqqa, killed by an Israeli drone strike in December 2023 while on assignment.
