NATO scrambles three AWACS jets over Baltic in response to Russian provocations
NATO deployed three AWACS early-warning aircraft, electronic-warfare planes and F-35 fighters over Poland and the Baltic Sea simultaneously and without prior announcement, conducting surveillance of the Kaliningrad region. The move was a response to Russian drone and missile tests. Retired Air Force inspector Gen. Tomasz Drewniak told Wirtualna Polska: "It's a clear signal: we have capabilities you don't."
