China recalls millions of EVs over hard-to-find emergency door handles

Chinese regulators have ordered a recall of millions of electric vehicles because their mechanical emergency door handles — required as a backup for electronic ones — are too difficult to locate in an emergency. Regulators ruled that having a mechanical backup is not enough; it must also be easy to spot. The recall covers a wide range of EV models.
