Stefaniak: Nawrocki met with quacks before vetoing law targeting them

PSL minister Jakub Stefaniak, deputy head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, has accused President Karol Nawrocki of being influenced by quack medicine lobbying groups before referring the so-called "lex szarlatan" law to the Constitutional Tribunal. The law would have given the Patient Ombudsman power to penalise people profiting from pseudoscientific treatments such as curing cancer with urine or vitamin C. Nawrocki claimed the law could harm supplement sellers, but Stefaniak openly doubts this explanation.
