Trump picks Dr. Heidi Overton to lead the FDA

President Donald Trump has nominated Dr. Heidi Overton to lead the Food and Drug Administration. Overton is currently serving as a White House policy aide. If confirmed by the Senate, she would head an agency of 18,000 employees responsible for regulating food, drugs, medical devices, tobacco and more.
