US court saves Delta-Aeromexico immunized joint venture

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit has dismissed the Department of Transportation's order to terminate the immunized joint venture between Delta Air Lines and Aeromexico. The court found the DOT erred by focusing solely on the Mexico City market rather than the broader US-Mexico market framework used when the pact was originally approved in 2016. The partnership, its antitrust immunity, and codeshare benefits for travellers remain in effect.
