NSW court: writing "Fuk Israel" on cars was political comment, not antisemitism
Justice Desmond Fagan of the NSW Supreme Court rejected the state government's application to place Mohammed Farhat under a terrorism extended supervision order after his release from prison. Farhat was convicted of writing "Fuk Israel" on cars and setting a vehicle alight in late 2024. The judge ruled that disparaging Israel was "political comment" and not antisemitism, prompting the NSW attorney general to seek urgent legal advice on an appeal.
