UN: Israeli E1 settlement poses 'existential threat' to two-state solution

UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed alarm over illegal Israeli settlement outposts in the West Bank, particularly in the E1 area. UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric warned that development there would sever the connection between the northern and southern West Bank, severely threatening the territory's integrity and the viability of a two-state solution.
