China launches Chang'e 7 moon mission — 8-tonne payload with hopper to hunt for ice

China's Long March 5 Y14 rocket is set to launch from Wenchang on 24 August, carrying over eight tonnes of payload on a lunar trajectory. The Chang'e 7 mission includes an orbiter, lander, rover and a small hopper. International experiments supported by the US, Italy and Egypt are also aboard.
