Linguist Bralczyk: Poland's branding report is a linguistic monstrosity
Professor Jerzy Bralczyk has condemned the language used in a government report on promoting Poland's national brand, authored by Prof. Barbara Mróz-Gorgoń, the new government plenipotentiary for Poland's brand promotion. He pointed out that words like "chlebowość" (breadiness) do not exist, and phrases like "deep rootedness in the history of suffering" are artificial constructs incomprehensible to both Polish and native English speakers. The report was intended to shape Poland's image abroad.
