Sejm chancellery on MP Gomoła expense row: "we're not here to audit MPs"
Jerzy Woźniak, deputy head of the Sejm chancellery, commented on the expense controversy surrounding Poland 2050 MP Adam Gomoła, saying the chancellery's role is to support MPs, not to investigate them. He explained that MPs are treated as persons of public trust, and the chancellery does not challenge submitted documents unless it spots irregularities itself. He nonetheless admitted that systemic gaps remain in the oversight of parliamentary expenses.
