Former Ukrainian minister demands elections, says war is no longer an excuse

Former Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has publicly called on President Volodymyr Zelensky to allow elections to be held. Ukraine has formally suspended elections since February 2022, when Russia launched its full-scale invasion. A growing opposition movement is now arguing that the ongoing war can no longer serve as justification for blocking the vote.
