Poland leads EU blueberry production, but loses out to imports at home

Poland accounts for one-third of all EU blueberry production, making it Europe's leading producer. Despite this, domestically grown blueberries are losing ground to cheaper imported varieties on the shelves of Polish discount supermarkets during peak season. Experts note that eating just a handful of blueberries a day is enough to benefit from their health properties.
