Poland orders €15 bn anti-drone SAN system and adds forests to Eastern Shield

Poland's Defence Ministry plans to procure 18 battery modules of the SAN anti-drone system for approximately PLN 15 billion net. The first three fire platoons are to be delivered to the military in 2026. The Eastern Shield plan also incorporates natural terrain — forests, wetlands and waterways — as barriers against enemy movement, alongside new telecommunications infrastructure.
