Poland to deploy 300,000 concrete hedgehogs along eastern border

Poland's Ministry of National Defence will transport nearly 300,000 concrete anti-tank hedgehogs to the country's northern and eastern borders by mid-October 2026. Fortification works have already covered 100 km of critical border sections, with over 200 km to be secured by year's end. The ministry says the Eastern Shield programme is entering a phase of mass scaling.
