Storms and up to 70 mm of rain forecast for Poland on 21–22 August

Poland's Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has issued warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorms on the night of 21–22 August. Lower Silesia is forecast to receive 40–60 mm of rainfall, with local totals reaching up to 70 mm. The cause is a wavy atmospheric front stretching from Russia to the Iberian Peninsula, along which secondary low-pressure centres are driving tropical and polar air into conflict.
