NASA photographs crater left by Falcon 9 upper stage that crashed into the Moon

A SpaceX Falcon 9 upper stage crashed into the Moon on August 5th, leaving a crater approximately 18 metres wide and 3 metres deep. NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, with assistance from a Korean spacecraft, captured images of the impact site from multiple angles. SpaceX described the crash as an accident.
