Hidden behind a basement wall in Belgium: 40 gold bars and 4,000 coins worth €9 million

Workers renovating a historic building in Sint-Gillis-Dendermonde, Belgium, found a treasure hidden behind a basement wall: around 40 gold bars and 4,000 gold coins. The hoard has been provisionally valued at around €9 million (nearly 39 million PLN). Prosecutors are now working to establish the origin of the gold and identify its rightful owner.
