Eurozone picks up pace: German industry and southern services beat forecasts

Flash PMI readings for August point to an economic recovery in the eurozone in the third quarter, following a weak first half of the year. The aggregate reading came in slightly above July's figure. Germany's manufacturing sector and southern Europe's services industry delivered the positive surprises.
