Owners abandon parrot in Düsseldorf airport toilet after boarding refused

A Düsseldorf airport employee found a live parrot and a rotten banana inside a bag left in an airport toilet cubicle. The owners abandoned the bird after their carrier refused to let them board with it, as it was being transported in an unsuitable container. The incident was reported by the German newspaper Bild.
