Platinum at around $1,800/oz as analysts see room for price recovery

Platinum is trading at around $1,800 per troy ounce — up from late June and early July levels but well below its late-January peak. Palladium has followed a very similar price path this year. Numerous analysts believe both metals have room to recover, driven by growing industrial demand.
