Higher corporate tax to cut energy sector profits by 14% in 2027, Erste Group estimates

Erste Group analysts estimate that the government's proposed temporary corporate income tax hike for large energy, fuel and gas companies will cut their profits by 14% in 2027, 9% and 5% in 2029. The proposal was put forward by the Polish government on Thursday. The measure targets the largest companies in those sectors operating in Poland.
