Ex-Constitutional Tribunal judge Łętowska: Tusk's endorsement of Berek is a "kiss of death"

Former Constitutional Tribunal judge Ewa Łętowska sharply criticised Prime Minister Donald Tusk's endorsement of Maciej Berek as a candidate for the tribunal, calling the manner of the recommendation a "kiss of death" for the court's independence. Speaking on TVN24, she argued that the way the candidacy was put forward threatens the non-partisan character of the Constitutional Tribunal. Her comments add to a growing chorus of opposition to Berek's nomination.
