Plymouth Brethren church denies funding far-right activists to target Australian politicians at election
The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church has told a parliamentary inquiry into Australia's 2025 election that it did not secretly pay far-right influencers to stage stunts targeting Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and other politicians. The church also denied coordinating hundreds of volunteers to back Liberal candidates at polling booths nationwide. Its director described reporting by Nine newspapers as "a complete lie".
