Nine organisations call on Maciej Berek to withdraw his bid for Constitutional Tribunal seat

Sejm Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty has recommended the election of Maciej Berek as a Constitutional Tribunal judge at the next parliamentary session. However, nine leading NGOs have called on Berek to withdraw, arguing that depoliticising the Tribunal requires choosing candidates who guarantee political independence.
