EU gas storage filling more slowly than in previous years, Commission reassures

European Commission spokeswoman Eva Hrnczirzova acknowledged that EU gas storage filling is progressing more slowly this year than in previous years, with the bloc reaching around 62 percent capacity. Norway and the United States remain the key suppliers. The Commission sought to reassure member states about energy security ahead of the coming season.
