Poland's care sector needs 50,000 workers — without foreign staff the gap will widen
At least 500,000 people in Poland need long-term care, but the sector is already short roughly 50,000 carers. In 2026 alone the industry may need 47,300 new workers, and by 2035 the shortfall could reach 100,000. Industry representatives warn that without foreign workers, the burden of elderly care will fall on families.
