Nearly a year in pre-trial detention over a fireworks licence — held with convicted child killers

A woman spent nearly 11 months in pre-trial detention over a fireworks licence issue, despite having no prior criminal record or contact with police. She was immediately placed in a cell with women convicted of killing children. Officers allegedly told her she was being held because her son, also a suspect, refused to return to Poland to face trial.
