Japan executes arsonist who killed five in 2009 Osaka arcade fire

Japan hanged Sunao Takami, convicted of setting fire to an Osaka amusement arcade in 2009, killing five people and injuring ten. It is the first execution carried out since Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi took office. The sentence was carried out on Friday morning.
