US Treasury sanctions Ecuador-to-US cocaine trafficking network

The US Treasury Department has sanctioned 15 individuals linked to a network smuggling cocaine from Ecuador through Mexico to the United States. The operation relies on Ecuador-based fishing vessels to transfer drugs onto northbound power boats.
