Netflix comedy exec Andy Weil joins Amazon as head of comedy after 11 years

Netflix comedy development executive Andy Weil is leaving the streamer after 11 years to become Amazon MGM Studios' new head of comedy. He reunites with his former Netflix boss Peter Friedlander, now head of global TV at Amazon MGM Studios. Weil was instrumental in developing some of Netflix's biggest comedy titles during his tenure.
